A fabricator who builds one piece at a time
Will grew up in his family's ornamental iron shop and has worked in the trade full time for about six years. Now he runs his own shop in Cokato, where he builds railings for homes and lake cabins, plus sign frames, table frames and other one-off pieces.
He does the quote, the measuring, the building and the install himself. When you call, you talk to the person who shows up and puts it in.
One thing to know up front: Will does not take structural work. The shop is focused on railings and custom fabrication.

What do you build?
We build custom railings and custom metal fabrication from our Cokato shop. Railings include deck, interior stair, cable and horizontal railings for homes and lake cabins. Fabrication covers sign frames, table frames and bases, brackets and other one-off pieces. Every job is made to your measurements, so the piece fits the space you have.
Do you install the railings?
Yes. Will installs the railings he builds, so you deal with one person from the first call to the finished job. He measures on site before building, then installs in your home or lake cabin in Cokato, Annandale and the surrounding towns. You do not need to hire a separate installer.

We work in Cokato and across the west metro and lake country, including Annandale, Buffalo, Saint Michael, Maple Grove, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Minneapolis, Andover, Saint Cloud and Willmar. How does pricing work?
Custom railing pricing depends on the length, the design, the number of corners and transitions, and how the railing mounts. Once we see photos and rough measurements of your project in Cokato or nearby, Will measures on site, talks through the design and sends a quote. Two railings that look alike can price differently, so we quote the actual job.
Can I send a sketch or a photo?
Yes. For a custom railing or metal piece in Cokato or nearby towns, the easiest start is a few photos of the space, a rough sketch and rough measurements. Text or call with them and Will can talk through the design from there. A hand drawing on paper is fine, and you do not need finished plans.
Do you do structural or heavy repair work?
No. We focus on custom railings and custom metal fabrication, and we do not take structural or heavy repair work. If your project in the Cokato area is a railing, a sign frame, a table frame or another one-off piece, that is what our shop is set up to build.
